Everything old is new again!

“Be willing to be a beginner every single morning.”
― Meister Eckhart

The power struggle between the machine and I had come to a head. It was time she learnt who was boss and I could tell she was feeling the same about me. She made it clear that if I wanted some co-operation I would have to buy her that new foot control she had been hinting for... and some new needles too. Next the rotary cutter, sitting beside the machine, felt put out that he wasn't getting a gift and sulked his way through the fabric. He was supported by my quilting mentors Fiona and Lynn who agreed his desire for a new blade wasn't unreasonable after 13 years of service.

To make a real celebration of it, Spotlight had these lovely tonal fabrics on sale!

And of course a morning shopping isn't an event without calling in at the op shop where I found these gorgeous knitting needles for my sister and some cute buttons for myself. Don't you love their little oval holes!

Now it's off to learn to quilt!
Wish me luck.
